CSAP Launches Comprehensive Resources Web Site
In an effort to provide Americans a new pathway to the wealth of information related to prevention resources, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's (SAMHSA) Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP) recently launched its Prevention Pathways Web site.

Recognizing the need for information as well as the needs of potential users, CSAP developed Prevention Pathways with the intended goal of providing researchers, practitioners, program developers, or anyone who might have questions concerning alcohol abuse or illicit drug use, a centralized location for information.

Survey: Parents Siblings Influence Teens' Drugs Use

White House Drug Czar and Public Health....to Inform Parents about Harms of Marijuana

The nation's leaders in public health, parenting and drug prevention have joined the White House Drug Czar to warn parents about the serious risks of youth marajuana use. Serious risks are listed as significant health and behavior problems,such as harm to the brain, lungs and mental health. Marijuana use is three times more likely to lead to dependence among adolescent than among adults. "More teens enter drug treatment each year for marijuana than for all other illicit drugs", said Surgeon General Richard Carmona
